Cause, drop locations are all constant right? So it's not hard to figure out at least 2 other circles that would be equal distance for both teams.

Like one circle can be closer to Charlie lance, so that we see assaults duke it out for once, and the other circle can be closer to Alpha lance, where maybe Beta and Charlie duke it out on the way while Alphas have their skirmishes.

Like, all of these are better than the current "deathball middle, light hurry up" circle. Which is, fine... but, let's change it up a lil bit, right?

I think the problem with having points that spawn close to, say, both team's charlie lances is that they can be really unbalanced. If one team spawns with an Atlas, Banshee, Battlemaster and Kodiak and the other spawns with say...an Orion IIC, Warhawk, Quickdraw and Stalker. In a direct engagement without the support of either side's alpha and beta lances, the first team could completely dominate.

With how MM works, most A v A, B v B and C v C lance fights would be very unbalanced. MM usually makes the teams somewhat equal between all 3 lances, but individual lances can have a lot of disparity in mech tonnage.

Also, this pretty much wouldn't work at all for group queue, since lances aren't sorted by tonnage.

I think it could be interesting to have changing dom points if the spawns changed as well, keeping all lances equally distant from the point.

You'd think it would be a thing. Like many similar games modes, but with slight variations like that.

They have only just added the mode
Makes sense to let loose in its base format before spending to much time on it

It has lots of room to grow as a mode

I'd like to see the circle shrink if the timers have not reduced in 10 seconds

Then it should shrink into nothing and change location

Capturing the dom really needs to be the only victory condition

Silly me, thinking a dev team would test something in its base format before even releasing it, instead of unleashing half thought out plans for modes.

I like it, but they could have EASILY launched Domination with multiple modes.

Even one where the multiple circles, if they were to do that, get smaller and smaller the more time a team sucks out of it (for them).

So you may not need that spot anymore, but the enemy does, while you are trying to move onto another.

off topic

i remember in the early days there was suggested feature of dynamic maps where the landscape changes due to random events.. guess it cant happen with this game.

to me, a map should not be overly similar. certain things can surely be randomized like cave paths, blocked roads, variation on objects scattered about, etc.

back to topic

they should make alpha /beta as domination mini circle as well but with slower tick when occupied. that should force some movements instead of sniperwarrior game
