Press alt enter before you enter the password. Makes it fullscreen, not sure why the login window is windowed by default.
This belongs in workarounds but no one hangs out in there anymore.

That actually work?
I get that crash often. Makes all DCing and black screens really annoying.

does this fix work for you? I might need yell it at pgi, they have a thread open for this issue, but it is locked. They posted a few tips and blocked anyone from replying, if this is a fix though.....

If it is a fix the Account/PW screen should be fullscreen to prevent crashes.
And not have to hit alt+enter every time, like, when you bother to properly log out (lolz) and that screen is fullscreen.
Automatically launched to full screen.

I would try patch feedback, as it seems to be happening to people only after the patch.

You should also try to disable the Steam overlay and / or the AMD gaming evolved overlay
