Limited resources atm.
Deciding to try the now infamous 4 X AC10 build or
2 XAC10 + 2 XAC5 + 4 CML
Has anyone done a comparison?

4UAC10, simple, and pretty good.

5s instead of 10s for more range, But, i think it is more of a preference.

4x10 and lasers for me, with a 350. You can drop the mpl to go to a 375XL, probably the "better" build, but I hate running wholly ammo dependant.

Thanks all.
Currently have 4 X UAC10 (may try with lasers eventually). Had 558 dmg and 2 kills in fist match. 969 dmg and 3 kills in second.
As I am a bit trigger happy find that I overheat on maps like Caustic. So, will now try 2 X AC10 in WG 1, 2 X AC10 in WG 2 both groups on chainfire, and Alpha on WG 3.
Anyone see this as a bad move?
Thanks

A 4UAC10 KDK-3 won't overheat too badly assuming:
1) You max out your engine to heat sink efficiency. I think I run an XL375, heat efficiency sits at 1.69ish
2) Only alpha fire when poking. Instead of groups 1 an 2 on chain fire use group fire. When in a situation needing sustained fire, use 1/2 1/2 1/2 - it'll core and kill pretty much anything before you overheat.

Captain's strategy is what works for me as well.
As for itchy trigger finger....If you're hot on a hot map, sometimes you just need to back away for a few secs and cool down. You may miss this kill, but you won't overheat and become a sitting duck and end up being the one killed. Cool down physically & mentally and move on to the next victim.

What Captain said. No chain fire (you almost never want chainfire) but just two groups. Group right on right mouse button, left on left, so you can easily side peek and fire only that side. Then, as he said, 1/2/1/2/1/2 to your heart's content. No ghost heat. Then only mash both buttons together when you need burst NOW.

I actually went with 2 UAC5s, 2 UAC10s and 4 SLas on my KDK-3. the mix in ballistics keeps ghosts heat at bay so you can double tap all day. The small lasers are for when you need more flexibility in CQC, like when facing a light. Leg the light with the lasers then rip into them with the UACs.
From my experience you get a great balance between burst damage, heat generation and sustained fire power with the 5/10 mix. It's worth a try.
