Since i have started playing in February i have a few observations. 1 if you are playing on alpine peaks and it is skirmish and the enemy team gets the high ground advantage(we all know where i am talking about) DO NOT under any circumstances assault that high ground because you are going to lose. Now if you are a 12 man team and you are up against a mixed, then you might have a chance of pulling it off. Better to pull back out of laser and cannon range and make them come to you. if they send a couple lights to temp you, kill the lights and you now have a kill lead.

2 Bogs is pretty much the same as alpine peaks with some hiding places from lrm boats tossed in.

Forest is a major pain in the wazoo for anyone involved and the team that uses the rocks and monster trees the best usually wins.

Canyon is another pain in the wazoo and i hate it with a passion. All other maps is usually dictated by the better peak and poke snipers.

pretty much all scenarios i can handle except conquest anyone who chooses it and forces me in that scenario i sincerly hope you can win it bec its almost always a loss for me.

The reason so many hate conquest is because they dont know how to play it, or at least how the majority plays it.

You CAP LAST alwasy, capping is how you STEAL a W from the other team. Most people just deathmatch it out until someone has a lead then the losers try to cap and steal a W.

If you fight FIRST and CAP as LAST RESORT you will have better outcomes i guarantee it.

That's the unfortunate truth with the possible exception of TT and polar highlands.

In general, you want 2 caps before the fighting starts, otherwise you are too at risk of losing regardless of how the fight goes. If you can get three, great, but not worth the risk most of the time.

even with a competent team most of my conquest battles are losses and i hate playing a game knowing i will almost with certainty lose it. I would like it if the streak can be given the ability of semi aiming at a given mech body instead of being a giant shotgun. Stormcrows legs need to be resized so they are not so danged easy to target

I like conquest :) ...because it offers an objective that isn't just march to the middle of map and kill other mechs :)

Totally agree that killing the other team is first is more important. ...but if you can grab and hold three points then the cap pressure can become a thing too.

Than either 1) the team is not as competent as you think they are, and/or 2) you are holding them back.

Think about it, every game you lost has 11 other losers and 12 winners. People are winning these matches. If you think it is the game mode's fault than you need to seriously reevaluate.

well think about it, if i am doing on average enough damage to stay the same level and most others are dying like flies and i am consistently one of the last ones alive even though i am in midst of fighting, i think it says something. most of my opponents are definitely feeling the effects of my shots. I usually get 2 kills on many matches and sometimes more.

3rd one is in the middle bit where you're gonna be fighting anyways on most maps.

I LOVE conquest... but not in MWO. In MWO it's terrible, because MWO is not a game built around basic gameplay concepts necessary to make conquest work - like respawns.

Conquest in Battlefield, awesome. Conquest in MWO, not at all.
