I worked for Dynamix back in the day. Though we didn't have anything to do directly with the TT game.
They had a sealed copy down at my local game store last I checked if you're really interested.

that's awesome, http://theminiatures.../rebellion.html
looks like a blend of Heavy Gear and 40k rules with some interesting
tweaks. However most of it is spot on with what I cooked up
too bad it's starsiege not earthsiege (lol)
what years did you work for Dynamix?

Earthsiege is just the ground combat element in the starsiege universe or at least that's how I understood it. Revisionist history and all that.
I was there 95-99. Of the dozen or so games I worked on there, Tribes is the only one anyone remembers these days.

well I'll have you know I played Earthsiege 2 before MechWarrior 2
that was the bug that bit me for giant robots
and now I'm tracking the tabletop game to buy; much like trying to find a copy of 'The Succession Wars' board game
idle question; did you ever know what happened to the Earthsiege 2 engine source code?

Otherwise, this game store had one last time I looked.

No idea what happened to the source code for earthsiege. However, I know that Jeff Tunnel (past pres and founder of dynamix) took the engine from the starsiege series and is selling an updated version at his new company, garage games.

but I was intrigued at modding the original
engine or extracting media resources like
models and such for my TT version and a
possible remake <.<
I emailed his google+ account a few weeks
ago with no response
no worries though.

He probably doesn't own the rights to that anymore. You'd most likely have to contact Vevendi about using resources.
Check out this.
