I think they stopped provided the mech bay with the heroes and champions. They used to since you were paying real money for them but I bought the champion fire starter a while back and it did not come with the mech bay.

Yes I had same problem. No mechbay which was new to me. I had to sell off a crappy Jager -S that I never use anyways to open up a spot for my Oxide.

You will get a mechbay if you buy a Hero mech in web store for the full price, but you won`t get it if you buy a Hero mech in game for MC. So you can have a mechbay or a discount price, but no both at the same time.

Mastery bundles and mech collection packs come with bays, simply buying individual mechs from the in-game store for cbills or MC do not include bays. That's part of the discount of buying bundles/packs which are already discounted 50% on mech values AND include extras (bays, premium time and sometimes cockpit items).

Ilya Muromets is a russian folk hero... and its a HE...

Its an appropriate name for a Hero version of the Cataphract given the meaning and origin of that word.

I got a 550k game with my Oxide... my oh my I love this event... made 3 million cbills in under 2 hours just on quickplays having crazy fun with the little fellow.

Picked up the Bounty Hunter and BlackWidow and both are excellent mechs and I highly recommend them. I own most of the heroes so the ones I would recommend picking up besides those two are Sparky, Misery, TopDog, Arrow, Firebrand. Im really on the fence about recommending the Oxide because its most likely going to be nerfed and who knows what it will be like when that happens. It may still be strong or it may be trash like the Huggin.

Back in closed & open beta there was a little hope left that the meta pingpong with each patch would someday stop - nowaydays we´re wiser - and that´s exactly the reason i´m not going for Oxide.

I don't know if the Huggin is trash, but it's definitely not as fun as it once was.
One memorable moment I had in mine a ways back was when I took out a Dire and Timber, from the front. Not at the same time, but both in the same match on Mining Collective. And both were fresh when I started on them.
Both backed themselves into a wall so I couldn't get behind them, and I couldn't run off without getting killed, so I had to face-tank them. I just kept moving and shooting at their faces to keep them blind. I blew all my ammo on them, but I survived and it was fun.

I picked up a Legend Killer to top off my Heroes. Would have bought two more Riflemen to go with it, but they are still only available for MC, so I'll wait for them to go up for Cbills. (I haven't bought a pack since the Riflemen came out.)

Even un-elited it's a pretty fun mech.



The Jenners are fun too, except for one thing. Their cammos aren't great. I can't find a way to make them look decent with any cammo or paint. Commandos too. Ahh, we'll throw the Firestarers in there as well.
It would be really nice if PGI could give them another pass someday to update their looks.

It was between black widow, bounty hunter II and Top Dog. I went with Top Dog for a few reasons. I already have 4 other thunderbolts so i wouldn't need more mech bays to master him. He's rated high on metamechs. And I've wanted it for a long time so i figure it fits.

The draw back was pure lasers are very boring... however the point is grinding QP with 30% cbill not necessary my fun mech.

Currently my funnest mech is Orion VA. With so many kodiak players picking brawler maps it opens the door wide to wreck faces with srm and i love it. 4 srm6 1 ac20 2 mpl

Uh? I bought my two heroes from the in game store and there were no mechbays associated with them.

and where does the game puts the hero mech if you dont have a mechbay free?I thought you get a mechbay with it oO?
In every other game it is that way

Sorry I was not clear enough. I had to buy the mechbay first and then buy the hero mechs with MCs, otherwise it does not let you buy anything.

For those doing the MC mech to cbill sale math, the locust 1E champ comes out to just over 1.9 million cbills for a 380 MC purchase. The spider K champ nets you about 2.9 million for 675. However... if you're chasing XL engines for mechs you already own... the locust champ has a 190XL, the Spider champ a 280 XL (which works nicely in 70 ton mechs like cataphracts and warhammers), and I believe the firestarter champ gets a 295XL.

I was thinking this too. If they would make a Hero Grasshopper, Black Knight and Mauler - with some unique combination of hardpoints, ECM or something that makes them different - I may well buy them, even though I have 21 other Hero Mechs.

With my luck PGI will make the hero Timberwolf and release the mastery Pack just a few minutes after I'll have bought my first Timberwolf for C-bills.
