As the title states it is truly time to start soon getting into some future tech, but the building blocks need to be set first......Preferable with in the next 6 months to a year.

1. To properly finally balance laser-vom between Clan and IS...IS needs its Clan "Copies" of ER lasers, and readjustment to the basic lasers to be heat efficient, not DPS or range though efficient.

2. Changing IS Ultra Auto-Cannons to be burst as well and function same as Clans but possibly shorter duration or something to compensate. Then add in larger UAC's with burst fire (No single shot UAC-20's please....)

3. Though SRM's and S-SRM's are well balanced between Clan and IS is very close to same function (probably the ONLY weapon system almost identical in performance and balanced...)
BUT IS getting larger Streak SRM's now, these would be I assume pretty none game breaking to add....

4. Larger LBX's for IS, nothing really new here to see, move along.

5. Light Fusion Engines, though maybe a bit game breaking on almost completely removing the need for IS XL engines, this would help fill the games between Clan XL and IS XL a bit.....though not as weight efficient, they do survive the lose of a side torso for once.

6. NEED TO RE-BALANCE IS PULSE LASERS....Lets be honest, with the quirks out there IS LPL's are broken and OP as can be. Ghost Heat of 3 and same if not shorter burn times then Clan Small pulse...these need adjustment badly to be performing similar Ghost Heat wise to Clans (meaning to 2!) and increase burn time to be close to Clans MPL's. Adjust the others as well to better compare with Clan LPL's....

As a Clanner, yes a bit upset that we would not get really any new toys here...but after the invasion for several years the Clans seemed to be rebuilding, the IS went into a tech frenzy develpoping new tech. Only later in the 3050's did Clans get some new toys (ATM's, HAG's, Heavy Lasers ect.)

IMO these changes above need to be done before a tech jump to prevent even more power creep and massive imbalance. There are a few other systems such as Light Gauss or PPC's to compensate for Clans but once again these might be better reserved for later tech additions.

Thoughts? Am I missing anything here that could be added to allow for adjustment of current tech and/or fill in the gaps?

Technically Clan get their ATMs as early as 3054,
where as most of the IS Tech you Mentioned comes in at 3058(LosTech),
that said i would be happy with Clan getting its Improved-PPC(LosTech),
(Improved-PPC, same as IS-PPC but one Ton Lighter & 1 Slot Smaller)

and yes the C-I-PPC is a real PPC Weapon and is Canon,

Re PPCs: Can we actually get the PPC cockpit electricity effect? It's would just be cosmetic, but it helps one to know what kind of enemy fire is incoming, plus it's cool and awesome.

Technically not likely to happen, due to ammo switching being lostech.
