Tournament Client Crashing On Domain Computer

Hey,

maybe this will be helping some of you:

If your computer is in a domain, and youy DomainController is not reachable, the client will immediately crash... it least it does for me.

You can fix this by opening a VPN connection to your domain, but then all traffic might be routed through that VPN, rendering the game unplayable...

Why PGI is trying to connect to the Domain Controller is beyond me... no other program I know of has this reqirement, only this new Portal-thing...

Thanks for pointing this out. I get the domain controller because I need the correct security identifiers to allow the portal and the patcher to communicate. However, your case hadn't been considered. I've got a new version that I will be releasing shortly that should fix this problem for you. I should point out that, with the current build, before you click play you should be able to drop the VPN and launch the game normally. Of course, with the new version, the VPN shouldn't be required at all.
