A new era of warfare has dawned in Mechwarrior Online, and with it come new tactics. First and foremost, you must make sure these new weapons affect the enemy more than yourself.

So to start, practice never looking anywhere near the minimap. Mild discomfort and confusion can be expected if you do, with symptoms progressing to dizziness, nausea, motion sickness and overwhelming frustration.

Secondly, you must somehow track down the enemy. This is easier said than done. First you will stumble blindly, you will twist and lose all orientation about where you are headed. As you slow down and hit 'B' to pointlessly attempt to get a semblance of your bearings, you will hear the sound of lasers melting steel. Quickly close the map and head vaguely towards where the laser fire came from. Occasionally you will see a familiar rock or tree, but then you realise it must have been another tree near a rock somewhere else as you hit 'B' again, to no avail.

Terribly lost, you turn to try and find your team. You start heading in a completely different direction to the one you are facing and frantically scramble around twisting in the vain hope that one day you will go where you thought you were going. "Incoming Missiles" rings in your ears as you look around only to find the map designers put a giant paddock with no cover here because the old map was far too well liked and popular, it plainly needed messing with.

Finally you see the missiles are coming from behind a hill. You now look at where you are on the minimap, where you are pointed, where the hill you are looking at is (Hint: it's indistinguishable from all the other mess on the map) and then follow the column up and the row left to arrive at a location you can cheerfully report to your teammates provided you've lived this long. The last step is to vomit from the motion sickness and go and have a nice quiet lie down.

Absolutely the most moronic thing I have ever seen done in a patch. Russ should be fired...from the earth in a catapault. I am done until this bullsh#t is fixed.
