As far as I know different types of additional equipment have already been confirmed by the devs such as CASE, BAP & ECM.

But has anybody read about MASC? Will it be in? And if so, do we know if it has a fixed tonnage and slot use or if it's related to the mech's total weight?

Furthermore the IGN-video where they play a Catapult clearly shows that the pilot can target enemy mechs, gets detailed information about it and even his missiles will lock on without ever having had direct visual contact. This is possible due to a scout being close to the enemy. So does every mech in MWO has some kind of C3 equipped by default?

And last but not least I've read on sarna battletech wiki that it's possible to enhance your rocket launchers with an Artemis guidance system to gain additional 35% accuracy for the missiles if using the matching enhanced missile type. Anybody heard about that for MWO? Wouldn't that be great for support mechs such as the Cat'?

MASC is currently not on the known list of things we will have at launch or shortly after launch. While it may be a future feature, the devs currently have other priorities for equipment.

Also as of right now, yes, it seems as though some implementation of C3 is defaulted in the game to allow for indirect fire. Artemis IV is planned, see link above.

I think the C3 system may be obsolesced by the Role Warfare system the devs have announced. In this system, the traditional functions of the C3 (allowing multiple units to see the radar readouts of scouts), seems to be already included to give scouts a larger part to play (as a scout pilot, believe me, every half-ton matters, and if no one's packing a C3 Master I can find something to fill that space).

That's not to say, though, that PGI won't find some other function for the C3 in the future, but I think if they do it will be very different from the way the C3 has functioned in the past.

[EDIT:] I missed your indirect-fire comment, Minsc.

They should add very sweet targeting bonuses for the real deal C3 systems. Perhaps shrinking the size of the targeting reticle or something similar.

C3 was very rare in this timeframe however so I don't mind if they delay putting it in the game.

I believe the c3 was able to allow other mechs to use the targeting information of the closest mech for chance to hit. This could allow lrm's to fire from long range and get the accuracy of close range targeting.

For MASC we might have to wait and see which Cataphract variants will be part of MWO. The 3L is equipped with MASC.

But the main question is, just like with C3: How will it work in MWO? Just a speedbost with additional heat buildup, like in MW3? Or something more fancy?

C3 is basically already in use on every mech. from what they said and showed if a scout mech runs out there and targets someone you get a blip on your radar screen telling you basic details. Now full C3 would give you range bonuses and I cannot speak to that but the basics are there.
