At the start of a new match, i notice this stutter or freeze that last less than a second. It seems to happen as i move around and the game loads stuff from the map.
I thought it was related to me running the game off a mechanical hdd, but it happens every time, when everything should be loaded into memory already. For example, i can load a map in testing grounds, quit the match, load it again, and it repeats, i think it's somewhat related to enemy mechs coming into range, but i cant be 100% sure.
What I've been done so far to try to minimize, I've tried lowering every stetting, even capping the frame rate, i went as far as to cap it at 30fps to lower cpu usage, but it still happens. Hardware temps are all nomimal, i know its not a gpu issue as i tried to play the game without the gpu using the intel hd graphics on the CPU.
The last thing i notice, is a spike in soft page faults any time this happens, getting as many as 40000 faults for the duration of these stutters. This could be normal, but i'm not an expert.
My PC specs:
CPU: i5 4440 3.1 - 3.3 Ghz
GPU: R7 360 2GB
RAM: Kingston 1x8 GB ddr3-1600 CAS 11
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
PSU: EVGA 500W
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
All drivers and OS are up to date
Game runs like a charm otherwise if not for these initial hitches. Maybe my cpu is not strong enough?
