It is annoying that only a few mechs can mount an AC20 in the arm and that hardly any of them are assaults.

Yeah, it's personal preference. Some like to have a shield side, others like to be able to lose a side and still not be unarmed.

I just added a suggestion to remove the lower arm actuator from the Zeus which would give us another mech that can have XL+AC20:

So add some support if you think it's a good idea.
After that I checked IS assault mechs and it seems only the Highlander and Victor can do XL+AC20 and hen only a couple of the variants.
I really think that the XL+AC20 option should be available to more mechs.

Damm...I thought this thread was about the rear mirror...invented for cars in 1914 but has not made its way into a mech yet...must be very complicated lostech...
