I just wonder.. In other topics I read that the Catapult is one of the favorite mechs of the Elite founders to take as their founder mech.. Why do they ever want to pilot one of the most ugliest mechs arround that looks and walks like Mickey Mouse?
I became a legendary founder not for the four mechs but to give this game some money for further development and, most importend, to make the share holders happy..
So please stop complaining to the defs about giving all the beta keys to the founders.. Becouse beta is not everything and in a few weeks we can all enjoy this game bug free..
And to the defs: Can I trade my Catapult for a Centurion with a durasteel blade in his hand so I can cut off Mickey's ears??

Because you can just stick your arms out the windows and pretend you're in a Mad Cat.

Heck, I'd trade the Cat and the Hunchy combined for a Cataphract. But as you said, I paid the money to help PGI make an amazing game, not primarily for the mechs.

THIIIIS!
i laughed. I was actually just talking to my brother last night about how a catapult is a madcat without marauder the marauder-style arms...

If you don't like the Catapult, then don't drive it. Seems pretty simple to me. Everybody has mechs that they identify with and which suit their play style, and everybody has mechs they dislike.
I'm not sure what that says about Urbie fans, but there you go.

I like shooting missiles and the Catapult will be the best Mech to carry around 2 LRM 20s. I'm sure I could carry those in some kind of Assault but then I'd lose my jets and move horribly slow. If you go down in weight then it'll be hard to fit in all the missiles and ammo without entirely gutting a Mech for them. Catapult hit the perfect weight with the perfect design for the job. If you want a walking LRM carrier, there's no better choice. Will you see lots of Catapults come release? Sure, but I doubt it'll be anymore than the number of Elite picked Atlases running around because many people still think "bigger=better". I went Legendary because I couldn't choose between Catapult and Atlas... may as well pay an extra 60 and get them all.(They're going to be worth around 10$ each anyway and the Founder gets me exclusive Mechslots, skins, and money boosts attached, all in all the Founder Mechs are actually worth more than their listed 15$ each)

I think you're confusing the Catapult with the Mouse-A-Pult of the same manufacture.
