I just saw a 3 medium laser Shadow Hawk pull 4 kills and 1200 damage. He ended up head to head with a Kodiak and a Dire Wolf. Needless to say he didn't survive long after that encounter but still I felt this pilot (who I already forgot his name) deserves a shout out!
Great Job you underated ShadowHawk Pilot! You really kicked butt on the battlefield with the most boring load out too. I guess this just shows that anything is possible. And that you should never judge a mech by its cover. Or what other ppl say about it. I was reading an article the other day about the best mechs and the worst mechs
Of course It was all someone's opinion. An experienced pilots opinion at that. The ShadowHawk was on the bottom of the list. The article had Nothing good to say about it except that you might want to buy it of you have everything else. Anyways. Yeahhhh ShadowHawk. ShadowHawk!!!!
Which mech do you think deserves a shout out for being hated by many and underrated?

I'm betting it was a 2K with 3xASRM6, 3xML, about XL300.
It really is a nice mech, all weapons in high shoulder hardpoints, generally doesn't lose weapons before dying, effective shield arms. Quirks are very meh but the basic geometry is wonderful.

In pugs the 2k can run a 325 or 350 and 3erllas or a 280-300 ans 3lplas. These can rack up a ton of damage from a safe distance.
The SHKs in many forms can do well in brawl builds if they know how to get in and out. They usually need to use a 325 to 350xl with srms and other stuff and their light mech striker experience.
I go back to playing the SHKs my first MWO mech, and they are still very useable. These also teach folks how to torso twist, because the ability to run an XL really helps (there are folks who do play it with a uac20 or gauss with a std engine (centurions are easier).

It used to be the best medium mech, it is still viable in many ways.
