I'd like to make a suggestion that the splash screen (the one that mimics the website front page) be set to show up only once every 24 hours.
It's extremely frustrating to have to clink off this screen every time you enter the game. Especially after being dumped to the desktop by a video card or coding error and then try to get back into the game before being awarded a time penalty for leaving the game early.
Thank you for your consideration,
Ayrmoon
PS: Keep in mind also that now, you not only have to click away the splash screen; you also have to click, select your mech, and then click again to re-enter a match in progress.....
If I could I would like your post 25 000 times, I would. Maybe PGI would notice...
The splash screen is horrible. It looks bad, doesn't fit the rest of the interface and keeps coming back.
And the new match joining dropdown menu... oh that hateful dropdown menu....
Honestly, I'd like to meet the person who designed that and ask them "What was your line of thinking ?"
It has a nasty habit of cancelling for no reason and has
literally NO PURPOSE other than adding time and mouse clicks to the UI.
The old system was fine (although getting dumped straight into the active match you were in after you log in would be MUCH, MUCH better (WoT does it this way)).
You can't do anything else with an IN GAME mech other than rejoin and you can't do anything else with a free mech other than go into a new drop. So what's the freaking point ?
