So ... glad to see that the -KK can do twin pistols. And the head proportions look decent, at least in this shot. Not a fan of the double wide pistols. The extra weapons couldn't fit in the vambraces like ... I dunno ... a Phoenix Hawk? If they've simply made gigantic handguns for all the PHX variants ... I don't think I'm going to be a fan.

I'd like to see a few more preview shots of a few more variants, please.

I would only hope it's the size of a Blackjack, and not the size of a Vindicator

I imagine the Vindicator is going to be resized to bring it closer to the BJ, since just about every mech is getting rescaled in someway.

Inb4 BJ is the one re-scaled to be the size of a centurion, and the pheonix hawk is the size of a trebuchet.

That actually sounds like how things are going to end up, sadly.

The BJ is going to grow with the rescale, and the PH is looking to be just slightly smaller than a Griffin:

I like the preview pic. The twin barrels look ok IMO. Then again, I'm just happy to see the weapons on the TOP of the arms and not the side or bottom.

I get sad when i see good weapon placement on new mechs.

Because I know PGI will never touch the past weapon hardpoint placements.
On some mechs, its like they are knowingly doing this.

I'm not a fan of this look for the Phoenix Hawk's weapon placement. It looks like it is dual wielding sawed off shotguns. And...I hope it is significantly smaller than a Trebuchet or Griffin at 45 tonnes! This may be a rough launch, and I was so hyped for a new IS medium mech!

Add one more barrel per arm and you can imagine yourself playing as Isaac Clarke.

If you look at it closely, there's a machine gun under the left hand:

Bummer.

It's not like it is that ideal for a 45 ton mech to carry a ballistic anyway due to the weapons huge weight requirements, but if you want to anyway, it definitely isn't a good spot for it. Good chance the third energy weapon per arm will be there too.

Make sure the big guns slot up top when placing your weapons.

Unfortunately, you have some disappointment coming your way. Based upon rumors and info on this board, it sounds like more mechs are getting larger than smaller with the rescale, which is just laughably stupid in a game where TTK is already too low and many of the "too small" mechs aren't meta anyway.

shoulder JJs are going to get you dead long before the double pistols, in all likelihood.

John Woowoo?

I'm OK with how they're dealing with the extra hardpoints. That look maintains the essence.
