I am mainly a Assault pilot and have no problems, none at all. they are fine as it is

actual issue is that everyone has a different perspective of what MWO should be, there is so much salt here that it would be enough to dry out the worlds water supply.

Assaults are unforgiving. At least make an attempt before going full-on pray to the quirk gods mode.

There is so much salt here that we could pay Rome's army 10x over.

For quick play most assaults seem to be a poor choice, they get prioritized for targeting and they're generally not agile enough to avoid fire for very long.

Anecdotally looking at result screens I see many matches where 2 mechs out of Charlie lance did less than 50 damage each. That's maybe one alpha before they're eliminated.

Many assault pilots are a liability to their team.

Agreed. That said, yeah the salt...

With my earlier post I tried to take the OP at face value and try to get some clarity as to his actual complaint and further a possible discussion. But...No. Most responses either ignore the OP and his points or take pretend affrontary for his daring to express his opinion.

There are other threads out there with exactly the OP's main point of view (are Assaults worth it? Do they actually provide a better platform than Heavies for dealing and taking damage? Could we get some role warfare? etc.). But it seems like most of the posters lately want to ignore points being raised by nearly any poster on any topic and instead just mock him/her and his/her position, focus on some perceived inconsistency in the OP, or just take the opportunity to say essentially "git gud"...oh, and of course no matter what: try as hard as possible to be provocatively obtuse so as to misunderstand or mischaracterize the main point of the OP, and then recast the topic into something else that the respondent would rather talk about.

Shockingly, people get salty after this occurs to them enough.

Assaults focusing on other assaults, heavies and then mediums, lights are usually more difficult for them, depending on the assault mech.

In a 4vs4 situation, you would quickly find that the assault mech's durability is actually quite impressive and that it has an increased stature on the battlefield. The problem, I feel, is that we don't have 4v4 situations; every assault winds up the victim of the immense 12v12 damage output flying around the field, and as such they never have the opportunity to tank. I'm a vigorous proponent of creating smaller battles.
