I think the mentality behind this "rescale" was to make everything bigger and easier to shoot at.

It looks like a lot of the older Mechs were just made randoms sizes. Because the IS Mechs make up the bulk of the old Mechs, they are the ones affected the most.

No, it was to make everything close to accurate. Volumetric measuring means that oddly shaped mechs with large interiors can seem smaller. So the skinny Grasshopper gets taller.

Also, the smallest mech is getting smaller (locust).

Love the new Catapult re-model, but it seems a little too small.

Jiminy Cricket. The Grasshopper got taller.
lol..

Good thing it has guns pointing out of the side of the mech to take advantage of all that front-facing surface area.. Oh wait.
Oh no!!
lol

Really depending on these quirks now, more than ever.
I wasn't expecting the re-scale to save the mech, it's just bad all-around...

Major Edit:
Oh boy.. .Nevermind. Some Grasshopper's received negative quirks, especially in the mobility sector... *nailbiting increases*

The Rifleman is going to need durability quirks. It's YUGE for its weight now.

And the Marauder got nerfed too.

I notice that all the Clan heavies got shrunk. Nice.

Some of the already bad egregiously large mechs got smaller (Dragon, Quickdraw), but consequently all the good popular/meta mechs got bigger.

The Jagermech is now wider AND it's already easy to side core.

Seriously, this is terrible.

I like the fact that there are differences in height, thickness and width that are really noticeable between the mechs now. There should be some that are tall and thin, others short and fat. It makes sense, adds variety.

Black Knight is taller now.....may have to go buy one....or three

PGI, can you, like, squat the Marauder down like the Timberwolf, Catapult, Ebon Jag, etc.? It's standing really tall now and it looks weird.

Let's see... Black Knight and Hopper balloon and are now useless, so back to shrinking Thuds for laser boating fun, I guess. Nice to see that the bloated Orion managed to stay the same size; good thing, too, given how top-tier is was... I guess.

Also good that the now bloated Hoppers and Black Knights get quirk punishments, too. That should nerf them enough that nobody will use them, which I guess is the point of the "balance" we see here.

Seriously, what is the point of wasting time mastering mechs when they can now totally change in all ways?
