It's okay though because bots don't use aimbots or wallhacks like anyone who is better than Johnny Z does.

Armored Core... a game where adding strong legs gives your arms more health, and you can die from repeatedly getting shot in the tip of one finger...
Not like MWO is much better, killed a catapult buy alphastrike on the little radar dish, killed a fresh warhammer by alphastriking the AMS dome 3 times, XL checked a marauders AC barrel.
And don't get me started on the Left foot to right hand Ammo feed system MWO has.
Besides, Hitboxes and health system has nothing to do with faction vs faction or merc vs merc content.

Here's the scoop;
When PGI discovers that the PvP golden cows teats are getting dry, they will switch into PvE/COOP game mode and try to produce a traditional MechWarrior stand alone product.
In other words, don't get your hopes up.

Getting PvE in a game that was designed to be PvP like this one would be folly due to the associated costs and likely would be subpar.
HOWEVER, from the hints dropped by PGI, I would not be surprised to see AI Mech stomping around in some cases within the PvP framework.
Perhaps to fill in teams that aren't full to prevent and stop Ghost drops? Wouldn't mind to have a couple AI mechs in my team to confront invaders in FW instead of having a Ghost drop against us.
perhaps to defend gates properly instead how gates work in FW currently? Not sure.
In anycase, PvE could be real but it is unlikely PGI will want to put in the costs, time and effort into it. Way too risky and frankly they should focus on improving the PvP experience. That is less costly and less risky and we like it.

PvE is going to be epic, guys. The big announcement is going to be that this whole time they've been neglecting Faction Play, Group Queue, and everything else, because they're using those mech pack bucks to create a brand new AI for the CryEngine from the ground up. You're going to be able to fight super intelligent AI mechs that coordinate with real lance warfare from the cockpit of your own mech, while scouring the map for loot crates you can unlock with MC.
I can't wait.

but PvE will make A LOT of money. All the players who didn't want to get into MWO because its PvP will get in now. I think many players here were just forced to play PvP because there was no PvE. I was one of them.
This is true...to a certain extent. Goodwill and word-of-mouth do open wallets.
But it's an intangible connection, not a tangible one like "sell mechpack, earn X". So a game studio is always going to approach it very cautiously, and in the case of a small, resource-strapped studio like PGI, reluctantly. And I say that as someone who would love playable PvE content, or at least some kind of co-cop campaign blended into and affecting FW.
