I think that a power draw system like the one you described is an excellent idea. I hope it is seriously considered, since it seems to be a very neat fix to a number of perceived problems.

It's a neat idea because it's reasonably easy to understand, seems quite realistic, and might even help simplify the quirks on some 'Mech variants (as you explained).

The truth is that they have to find ways to limit exploitation of all these things, like they killed triple/quad guass... no heat so no other way at the time to quash it.

Would it be possible, plausible and practical to move the map objectives to where each gamemode focuses a different section of the map?
Example: Forest Colony:
Assault: Spawns and bases in J11/F11
Skirmish: Spawns in I9/H6
Conquest: Spawns in H10/E7 with conquest points in F7/F9/G8/H7/H9
Domination: Spawns in D6/F11 and domination point in E8
This would provide more use of different sections of the map as well as finding the best sections for each gamemode.

I know Jumpjets are brought up for most town halls but it is usually a general question about when something will be done with them, I have a specific query

why does the 40 ton Cicada CDA-3F jump higher with 4 tons (10% of its total tonage) spent on 8 Jumpjets than the 30 ton Spider SDR-5V does with 6 tons (20% of its total tonage) spent on 12 Jumpjets?

I understand why there are diminishing returns on tonnage spent on jets for Mechs above 40 tons but why do all Mediums jump higher with the same tonnage in Jets than Lights do?

What is the twitter? is that like MySpace?

I kid, but I don't use twitter...

It can even be applied across the board... speedy light w/ high alpha? gonna go a lot slower so he has to think about the gamble of firing all his weapons in the heat of battle.

Big assault, big alpha, speed may not be as big an issue, but if it affects twisting and overall movement in general, it can still be dangerously debilitating.

I'm probably in a minority, but I think it would be *awesome* if the Hero versions of OmniMechs were actually locked conversions. That is to say, they are following the rules and have become BattleMechs after receiving differing engine size and unlocked slots, etc.

A Timberwolf with a cXL 325, for example? That's super tempting. Or an EBJ with a cXL 300...

Some of your concerns.
It is what it is.
Flamers will be addressed later.
Excited about new changes to CW.
Our numbers are a little off but we can make it better.
Deckles coming in September.
New mech pack unveiled. We believe developing two mech packs a months is about right.
New clan hero mechs are coming.
We are proud of our progress.

they did not say, there is apparently another due soon but they made a point of not announcing it because people had apparently asked not to have a pack announced in this town hall
