Improving Pc Performance?
#1

I've already adjusted the screen resolution as well as the game window size, but 10 FPS is about all I can do and the game plays extremely choppy, sometimes dropping below 5-6 FPS.
The question is, if there is anything else I can do to improve the game's performance without modifying the PC, or should I think about upgrading my PC's hardware?
At the moment I am running a stock Lenovo H30.
Thanks, and any and all comment welcome!

Are you talking about monitor display resolution? Good suggestion, I'll have to try that. As of yet I've only adjusted the resolution and window size in the game's settings.

???
If so, you are only running off the built-in Intel GPU on the CPU, Intel® HD Graphics 4600 that comes with up to 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4790 Processor (3.60GHz). If you do not have an AMD/Nvidia card, that is the best it will get atm.
We need more details since that model can come with a minimum of a i3 Intel.
Use Speccy. Save the info as txt file and post the info, or Win key + R, type in dxdiag, save as file and post the top section, from the beginning to just pass the sound card entry.
Concerning video cards. I dont see much improvement atm.

In the interests of this discussion can you post your old system specs so we compare the two machines?

No, I believe he's talking about thing like Particles, Damage Glow and Object Detail. Some of those really hog resources while others have a minor, though still noticeable on the low end, impact; like Cockpit Glass and even the in-game VOIP iirc.

Right CTRL + F11.
Any time I do it I gain about 10 frames on an already 60-70 FPS system.
Note:
This shuts off the HUD, which is VERY script heavy. Or at least it used to be, depends on if it is still Scaleform or if PGI finally changed it.

And it takes practice.

I also tried turning off the HUD, which works great! Thanks Koniving! Turning it off got me to about 13 FPS, and to compensate for not having a crosshair anymore, I added a TAG, to function sort of as a laser pointer, to take out some of the guess work. I'll run the game without the HUD until I can find a way to increase FPS without it.
Here are my current PC stats... Is their a graphics card I could get to maybe replace the one it's got?

Thanks for the replies so far everyone!

Windows: Tuneup Utilities by AVG is a fantastic shortcut to do this, but otherwise.... Turn off all the fancy bells and whistles of Windows. Animated title bars, etc., etc. Ensure that "Performance" is set in the power plan. Every graphical doodad in Windows, turn it off. Every background program, every unnecessary trinket (desktop wallpaper), every undesired background program.
That should give you another +6-8 FPS.
Increase ram to 8 gigabytes.
That should give you about +10 FPS.

I have a Radeon graphics card, I think it is a 270 R9x or somesuch; strangely can't remember. But the way it is written there it sounds like yours is built into the motherboard and not a separate card, which is an inferior but economical setup.
Sadly it's hard to recommend a card, because it's an older computer of yours and as such whether it could accept newer cards is questionable. Neat to see it has windows 10 though.

He's running a cpu at nearly half the speed of the minimum spec. A video card ain't gonna help much, if at all. He's still going to be bottlenecked at the cpu.

As for Video cards, I can not recommend one, if there was one available. The CPU itself is only a duo-core running at 1.5ghz. Some of the cards that MIGHT fit will cost you around $50-$60, if you are able to locate them, then your bottle neck would be the CPU, then you MIGHT see a 5FPS increase /shudders...
