Just heard Russ say in Townhall that the bay doors on Catapults, for example, offer some bit of protection...

What exactly is the protection they provide?

10% damage reduction when closed

Things have changed (old testing on old Forest Colony)
That used to be their behaviour, may have changed to only Crits

I have heard it might be component damage only though. Is it reduction to the structure damage or reduction to component damage?

It used to be damage, but Testing Grounds doesn't work anymore...

Private Match testing needs to be done, either they broke Missile Bay Doors, or changed how they worked.

Previous Training Grounds (pre quirk) testing proved 2 AC20s didn't breach 40 (stock) armour, and neither would an SL on top of that (43*.9=38.7), while the second SL would (41.4 damage)

Now, 80 damage destroys 80 IS+A
