Despite what my fascination with "Circus mechs" (go f*ck yourself russ) would imply.

It lowers your inhibitions, allowing you to use in game VOIP and communicate and coordinate with your team.
It lets you forget that you just played this map three times.
It makes Skirmish fun when you are trying to find that last Spider.
It tastes good?
How's that?

Not going to argue (it´s like telling sbdy. smoking was healthy lol), but some people simply don´t want to or can´t go out (bad health state, ptsd, etc.) for drinking or whatever. I prefer those people getting drunk online rather than getting completely seperated from "social life".
Only counts for grown ups who can do whatever they want

First discovered it one day (way back) when playing with Errodien. We decided, "We'll take a shot after each win until we lose," and that was a very BAD idea. Turns out we just kept on winning, until eventually I was about 12-15 shots in and finally drunk enough I couldn't even shoot anything, and we finally lost a game. Throughout the beginning though I found my PPC shots were spot on.
Tested it multiple times down to a science. At exactly 4 beers, I almost never miss a PPC shot. Beyond 6, I start missing. My guess is I instinctively "know" the lead from lots of experience, but alcohol prevents me from overthinking it, which will occasionally throw off my aim when sober.
Here's an example from one night when I was testing my drunk PPC skills:
It says part 1 in the title, but I keep forgetting to record other segments. Probably because I'm drunk.

When you remove inhibitions, sometimes people are that much better...

A good stout, porter or amber ale is my preferred drink, and I start feeling relaxed after just a few sips. All in moderation...

Oh, and I don't think this is just an American thing. Seems drinking is popular in every country and has been happening since the early BC's. It's liquid bread...lol.
