OK flat out, now that we know we are getting the mech that you and others championed for (seemingly to the chagrin of others lol), the madcat mk2, what is your opinion on that. Moreover, why do you think of all times, that it's now that it gets hinted at. Is it because now we have established a power creep curve(which is pretty flicking hard to avoid in multi-player games over time that take money) or does it signal the end of times?

Eh, I think they're yanking his chain, or at least that it'll be winter at the earliest before we see it.
Imperius, I imagine, knows better than to get too excited so early. It's PGI.

Ya, I've picked up a little bit on PGI development system lol. Obviously they do read a few of the forum threads, particularly the mech-a-wish ones. Although wouldn't be surprised if the concept is in the works. Wonder if that's why it was mentioned. I'm sure you are right wintersdark, winter at the earliest. As much flak as the Kodiak got for being a creep, it seems as if it was a financially successful decision. I'd imagine the mk2 could potentially have just as good if not a greater success.

As far as meta goes, the decently placed ballastics hardpoints are nice. If you omit the missile ears (common on TBR pilots), the cockpit placement is bad either.
I'd guess that we'll get a 2B 6E variant, and a 4B 4E variant (Base is 2M 2B 4E, and the Kodiak got a bit of hardpoint inflation).

Kodiak was widely requested and they accidentally made the KDK-3 very good by inflating its ballistic hardpoints (I'm sure that they hadn't realized it at first by looking at how they handled the quirks).
Mad Cat Mk. II is actually less popular than the Kodiak it seems, so I don't think that it will give PGI the same financial success as the Kodiak. Let's see how the Ghost Heat v.2 plays out and if the Mad Cat Mk. II get the same ballistic inflation treatment (on her arms) - it may sell well.
One thing for sure is that this 'Mech's art already looks nice - very sleek for an Assault. I really hope that Alex can improve its look and design even further!
