XL350 Crab 20 with 2LL and 3ML was always a fun ride.

I found the Crab to be a big pile of meh, so maybe I am biased when it comes to that.

5 tons heavier than a PXH and it has no JJs to eat up tonnage and crit slots.

I suppose a PXH doesn't need JJs, but I personally would sacrifice some top speed to be a good jumper (especially with it's low mounts). That is also assuming ECM or MASC isn't equipped either.

Think of it this way. A Vindicator 1AA can mount 2 PPCs and a MLaser, 6 JJs, and maybe 1 DHS in the XL295 engine. If you are willing to lose some JJs, you could fit another 1 MLaser.

Now go up to an XL305, it's an additional 2 tons (17 tons). An XL325 is 2 more tons (19 total). To get to a 325 you are out 4 tons. If it has ECM, 5.5 tons. With MASC, 6 tons I think.

I mean, you could run LLasers instead of large pulse, or you could drop JJs, but the PXH tends to have limited energy hardpoints on many models (it loves to equip more than 1 ballistic normally).

I think XL 325 might be the Max most PXH's will run and that might require some compromises. I wouldn't doubt if on many models the XL295 or XL305 might be the sweet spot. That 8 energy model will probably be the real fast one if anything if boating MLasers.

As for ballistics, I've tried outfitting the 1X...I think 45tons might be too light for any meaningful ballistic builds. Still, I wouldn't mind being wrong on that.

XL 305 is a waste of, you pay a lot of tonnage due to the gyro, 295/300 is nice or you can try and squeeze a 320/325 in there.
