.You people should have been campaigning for a test server over all these other kooky notions. You know, get the horse before the cart...

Not only is a test server extremely beneficial for developers, the players also work for free. Haven't we learned anything from Tom Sawyer?

What, that makes no sense, if something may potentially be bad for the user experience, it can and should be held off from deployment, there should always be steps to backout changes for any deployment. Not to mention if your QA isn't able to reject changes, your QA isn't going to be very good or useful.

I believe the point to the new minimap was for player awareness of their team. I know a fair number of new players have issues with the minimap and losing their team.

That would not make it a minimally viable feature of a minimally viable product. So no.

Amazing how much information and feedback PGI would get if they involved us in the development decision making process. But then we know very little about how to develop a product. Or what we want. Or even how to tie our shoes according to PGI.

PGI does QA?

I don't use Siesmic, but between the terrible rescale (wtf bigger lights?) and the zoomed out map (that's bound to be covered in crappy icons) I don't see myself playing MWO for a couple of months. Good thing there's Blood and Wine for Witcher 3 and I'm sure Tomb Raider will be on PC soonish. Got lots to play in the meantime

It is obvious that you should be able to zoom the minimap.
It is also obvious that Opinions do not MatterTM and that We Totally Know What We Are DoingTM.

Whether they listen to their QA is another story.

Imagine if the minimap had both variable zoom and the ability to toggle static vs dynamic map orientation? Right now, the minimap is rotated based on which direction you're going, so your own dorito is always pointing up. However, the patch coming later today will fix the rotation of the map. So when you zoom in, what's going to happen?

I'd like the option between static and dynamic orientation. Too optimistic?

Campaigning is a tiresome and ineffective business. I'm not spending hours on Twitter every day to get some details fixed in a video game.

Good point and not sure how I never thought about that?

OK, I want my radar back.

The minimap is the most important tool in the game. Being able to use it well is the difference between a average and a good pilot.

This "improvement" is very much like the long tom. Nobody asked for it, nobody wanted it.
