Just for show. Like the ability to write a description for each planet. They won't ever use this feature, they just wanted to show that they could do it.

Strana Mechty. A little known, uninhabitable world on the far reaches of the galaxy. Few have travelled this far, and fewer still care about this world. It was named by the famous explorer Jonathan Mechty, after his daughter, Sarah. Due to a rather significant typo the planet was misnamed "Strana Mechty" and this name stuck, as Comstar doesn't really care enough about this planet to change it, much to Jonathans annoyance.

Maybe if we're lucky enough to shift to 3059 and get an improved state for the IS map, Strana Mechty can come into play as the ultimate goal for the IS.

They may advance to timeline and have us do taskforce serpent at some point. I mean they won't... but they could...

I always figured it was going to be there for the other Clans to fight over, much like the IS can fight itself now.

I figured they would have at least activated Clan Steel Viper, Clan Nova Cat and possibly Clan Diamond Shark by now

I have a distinct feeling that some day, when the game starts drawing to a close on the clan wars chapter, that all those outer planets, like the clan worlds, and the many planets outside of the inner sphere, will finally come into play.

Maybe they will be used for special events, maybe for campaigns, and maybe just as floating reminders of "The game that could have been"..

Time will tell..

The descriptions are already written.

I already have short descriptions written for practically every planet in the NBT database. PGI could have it if they wanted.

I would love to see a 3025 or 3039 event that takes place before the Clan Invasion. While the Inner Sphere fights among themselves, the Clans can hold trials in the homeworlds for the Invasion.
