Ok... really? This minimap is like adding the P-axis to a game that already requires x,y,z axis adaptation. I never complain and support PGI, but wow. Who tests this stuff beforehand???

Other than the 2016 tournament, I'm done if this is the mini map you have.


And if it doesn't change after the tournament I'm through...... Stuck through for many things but that is just insulting.

I.E. Means I'm not playing, buying, or anything else other than training in the team I'm in if it stays this way.
Love the game but this is the saddest thing.......................

By the way how can I play the game with the new mini map to train for the Comp. when the mini map is different from one to the other. Seriously..........

My suggestion is to hotfix back to the old minimap and review the features that we like/dislike about the new minimap vs. the old one to create a hybrid that works long in to the future. Utility is the most important function as far as I am concerned.

The new minimap.... is a laughingstock and someone should be fired for even bringing it in game.

The old one was fine as it was and it worked just fine. The new one? not so much.

SAME HERE... NO MORE MECHPACKS UNTIL THE MINIMAP IS FIXED. This white knight whale closed his wallet for PGI. :(

Do not like the new mini map! OR new Hud.

The size change I can adapt to but the new map changes everything about how the game worked before!

Here is my own mod, it is easy to add to the game:
Press Right Shift + F11 when in match to wipe the old then use household supplies to make your own.

Okay so lets see, how bad did they **** this up:

Doesn't rotate with the players, as such it is disorienting

Zoomed out so far they make seismic sensors a complete joke, can't read anything from it

We already have a battlegrid, this new map is simply redundant and a worse version of the battlegrid

The minimap should give you information about your immediate vicinity, but it doesn't. Good luck planning out a route when you can't see the roads anymore

WHY DOES IT NOT ROTATE?

REALLY, WHY? I couldn't care less about always knowing where north is looking at my minimap, I need it to tell me where my enemies are in relation to me. But with this new map, I can't do it at a glance anymore. "Oh on the tiny minima it looks like he at my 5, quick, turn in that direc- Oh ffs no, he was at my 9. Woops. Silly minimap, can't be mad at you. Not.

do you enjoy reading small text like this, PGI? I know I don't. This is what it feels like to look at the new mimiap. Look at all this information I can fit in this tiny area! Wow! It's wonderful, isn't it? Is this what you wanted? Because this is what I'm seeing when I look at the mimnap, a whole lot of ****

Edit: I am not going to play this game until the minimap changes. It actually hinders my gameplay.

The size doesn't bother me outside of the seismic issue. The issue is the mech to map orientation. Hostiles look like they're behind you when they aren't, time is wasted spinning in a half circle trying to find clearly locked targets by team mates, and having to check the X/Y axis of every grid box to call out movement and enemy location (on top of every other navigational issue the new map causes) means any one trying to command is far more vulnerable than the normal difficulties of shooting/moving/communicating simultaneously.

I can clearly see what they were trying to do with it, the execution was just very poor.

all they had to do was change the text color for co-ordinates and maybe make mini map abit bigger , such a simple fix , but apparently to hard of a task for someone

I know this is a hot topic and a lot of angry posts are going up, but I feel the burn too. I love the events and loot bags and I honestly don't know if I can keep playing with this minimap. I can't understand why they'd strip the field of vision and the rotation, things that we've had in the computer game HUDS since the very first games. These changes are so harsh on the gameplay that they feel punitive even though I know they're not.
To top it all off, taking away the rotation is bad enough for vets, think about the poor rookie pilots out there that don't know the maps.

The MOST counter intuitive thing ever done in this game !!! At 144kph absolutley useless.

it really throws off your orientation, so you have to be proactive using it.

still gives me a bit of a headache, but I can use it without issue now...... Posted Image

I don't think the mini-map (which is actually the ENTIRE map btw) could have been screwed up any worse if they tried really hard. Hopefully this can get fixed in a few days but it's an unplayable waste of time as it is.

Geez people you can't get even more salty can you... Use it some time, and just think. It is SO much easier to tell your teammates where the enemy is exactly. It's now more important to actually be GOOD at the game, handling the mech now with where its facing and stuff. There are a lot of pros for the minimap, a con is, that the old map was easier to handle yeah, but the new one is more efficient.

Oh and btw did you guys even ONE TIME actually USE seismic? It works. They increased the blip on the minimap. And btw, is it your eyes or mine or why do you cry you cant see anything on the minimap now? Its there. Every tree in Viridian for example is there, you can clearly see where the enemy is and anticipate his movements. How about for ONCE stop crying, start thinking and just shutting up.

I'm a bit salty about it myself with people ranting what they can not even rly thinking about it. Sry 'bout the post.

This is a great idea, lets add the zoom feature to the old mini-map and then we have the best of both worlds. We can see the whole map, and zoom in to see whats going on around us like the old map did. Not all that difficult.
