The Catapult shoulda been the reference point.

You do realize that the Catapult was rescaled to a reference point, right? By saying "the Catapult should have been the reference point" means that you would have effectively made everything else even larger. Making everything else almost uniform size is also such a horrendously, miraculously bad idea for so many reasons I couldn't even begin to list them all.

Also protip: The canonical heights have always been and will always continue to be complete garbage. End of story.

Now that all the mechs in general are so much bigger, can we make all the mechs like 15% smaller relative to everything else?

I find it hilarious that people don't get this, or outright ignore it.

Goddamn, I just shelved half my ******* garage because of this ****.

At some point we have to concede that we are all along for the ride - and its a race to the bottom to appease the lowest commom denominator.

They want big clunky mechs that they won't struggle to hit - and they also want a lower damage game to help them survive.

If you keep tally, generally the people who are in favor of the rescale up are usually also in favor of the energy draw alpha limit, as well as being happy about the new ease with which lights can be shot.

This isn't a coincidence.

Banshee in Lore 15,5m ...Atlas in Lore 16 m, Executioner in lore 14,4m Light Mechs 6-8m ,Thunderbolt (Old Unseen) 8,5 m (with no Missle Tube) ,Warhammer with Misslelauncher 12,3m ,Shadowhak ~9,6m...nothing 18m Giants

Can you imagine how many people would **** bricks if the lightest mech in the game was more than 2/3 the height of the heaviest mech in the game?

People are wigging out now with the lightest mech being less than half the height of the heaviest.

Maybe folks should really think about what they're asking for before they suggest using the randomly-chosen tabletop heights.

Think PGI buggered the scaling of mechs? Would you prefer the lore versions instead?Posted Image
