A jenner-F has JJs and 6 arm mounted E hardpoints with no lower arm actuator

A firestarter with 7 E hardpoints , JJs and better hitboxes

And for some unholy reason firestarter gets to have -10% heat gen quirk to make it even more superior....

  • LocationStill doing ungodly amount of damage, but with more accuracy.

I will take 6 high mounted arm energy points (better aiming and convergence) over low mounted 7 energy hard points that are spread among torso and arms, any day. And the -10% duration allows better use of MLs, which are longer ranged and lighter than MPLs, allowing for more heatsinks to be mounted, than that of the Firestarter. Not to mention the Jenner's accel/decel and turn quirks that are vital for a Light. Post patch 35 tonners are really not as good at dogfighting as before, which means hit 'n fade type of mechs such as the Jenner-F suits my style more.

I personally do not have Jenner-F, but I do have Locust-1E, that is similar in loadout. Posted Image

Also to help compensate for all those energy weapons and flamers with little available weight for heat sinks.

I don't think you get the concept.

How about giving me some extra magic ammo rounds for my mauler-mx90... because with 6 ballistic weapons i need "compensation".... because i won't have enough weight to mount 6 ac5s. with enough ammo.

See the flaw in your logic?

Quirks are nor supposed to invalidate another mech.

perhaps...
But after this patch i'm finding the firestarter to be far superior to jenner-F

I almost never see Firestarters anymore anyway. Arctic Cheetahs, Jenner IICs, Oxides, oh and locusts now.

If it were quirked to superiority, I think we would take notice of it outside of just looking at the quirk sheet.
