Anyone else get a significant frame rate drop this patch cycle? I think Phil/Sean Lang has been noting some mystery frame drops in his stream of late, and my personal experience has seen many of the maps that routinely held 40-50fps a couple weeks ago are getting 20-30 now.

Not sure if it's an issue with the new mini-map, is there still a way to temporarily hide the HUD to see the impact on frames?

Played a match on Forest Colony last night in my Cicada, luckily it was a bit of a potato tier match but I could barely move with random hitching my frame rate dropping to around 15 in combat.

Nope !
I dont see any changes. But I have a pro-tip for you:
switch to DirectX 9 mode, and the frame drops are gone.

I'll try directx9 and delete shader cache, see if that helps. Thanks.

Bumped down to DX9 and it was again getting in the 20s for framerate, including some older maps now. That definitely did not help I'm afraid.

Finally got some restoration of the frame rate, I wiped out most of my user.cfg and something in there must have been causing problems because I'm seeing regular 50s again. Not sure what it was.

Runs pretty well so far, if not to say surprisingly outstanding well!
Have not played all Maps so far but for example the extreme slowdowns on Missile Trails were gone so far it seems.
Min FPS in the low 40s so far...Max FPS capped at 60 with the Crimson Driver Frame Limiter.


Resolution is 1920x1200 Fullscreen

Dx11
Blur = Off
VSync = Off
Glow = On

Video Settings Very High but Post Processing (Low)

MWO = 64 Bit

Sys is Win10 x64
AMD FX 8350
Gigabyte GA990XA UD3 (Bios F14e)
