The problem is its always one way only. People need options to let them play how they want as long as it doesnt give an unfair advantage.

I love the new minimap.

Hell, I think it's one of the best ideas PGI has had in a while.

Whelp this minimap hotfix makes me want to puke. Literally. I actually get motion sick from it. I know. 90% of the population wants it one way so it has to be that way only i guess. So ill live.

But I really do feel like a horse with blinders on. I really liked the new minimap. There were flaws with it yes. I missed the doritos and leg and torso indicators but thats it really. Everything else i actually liked. Like the fixed position and being zoomed out more (tho i do think it was a bit too zoomed out)

Now were back to being stuck to seeing the few squares around me and it rotates and i absolutely abhor it. Really i do. Now If i want to know if theres an isolated enemy on the opposite flank from me i have to freaking stop and press M and pray the stupid sucker is actually spotted by my allies when i do so. Its like gambling. Where before the hotfix the second that red diamond popped up i see it and go oh look! theres a dude over there! I can come up behind his *** and have surprise buttseks without his allies noticing!

Now unless i am literally sitting there staring at the larger map waiting for my allies to spot someone I have no freaking clue what is going on further away from me. And of course you cant fight while staring at the map so its a waste of time. Sigh...

All i wanted was for the devs to put a silly toggle in so both sides can have their cake and eat it too..

edit: part of me kinda wonders if the reason pugs just spread out in a bunch of different directions and dont react to repositioning enemies or collapsing flanks is because..... they cant see that flank.. They dont know which is the stronger flank and whos getting overrun because they cant see whats not on top of them without stopping and opening the map which in my opinion is really clumsy to do and leaves you too vulnerable.

If we are going to be stuck like this can we at least have some target last seen here markers on the large map so I KNOW where someone WAS spotted even if they arent spotted now? like what Armored Warfare has?

Just make it a toggle in the settings or something.

No. PGI knows what you need/want better than you do. @IslandTM.
