When starting the Portal I get this message:
The invocation of the constructor on type
'MWO_Portal.ViewModel.PortalViewModel' that matches the specified binding
constraints threw an exception.
It won't start and if I close the window and try again I get a message telling me it is already running.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I have the same issue. After the message come, nothing happens - no launcher, no error-report, nothing. It's like the MWO Portal triggers this message
Uninstall and install does not help. Nor MWO or steam version make difference. Running as admin also no help.
After starting the MWO Portal there is a process in Tast Manager running, guess that's why the message "it is already running" comes. I also tried to rename MWOCLient to MWOClient - nopatch. No effect.
I use win7, SSD (so my gamefolder is not on sysem hard drive. I installed MWO Portal in different folder, last MWO Portal version downloaded on 3.6 - no help also)
Running MWO itself works without problems.

Yeah, I'm not loving this problem. If anyone has a solution, I'd be keen to have it. Or else I'm going to miss out on the tournament.

Guys lets gather up information, maybe we find a solution by selecting out differences.
My GPU is a NVIDEA GTX 960, I use no overclock.
You got also Windows 7 running? I succesfully installed the Tournament Client on my Notebook with Windows 7, but i don't like to play on it :/
The important differences on that systems are SSD und DATAram ramdisc (on the desctop computer) so far i can tell.

forget what i wrote before. MWO Support solved it.
You have to update .Net Framework to 4.5.2 or higher. I have installed 4.6.1 and it works now.
