Just kind of curious how that can be the case?

*Deep inhale* I love the smell of butthurt in the morning!

*shrug* I was having fun tearing it up in my lights last night. Kept having to look up to make sure whether or not the sky was, in fact, falling.

Is it totally inconceivable that people are still testing/trying out the changes? It's been only a day, you know.

I don't know. All I know is when I played for about three hours yesterday after patch and two hours early this morning the only lights I encountered were ach, locust, and a very rare mech i almost forgot was in game named the myst lynx. I also noticed that teams only had on average two lights instead of the three to four.

Well it's simple.

"No one" liked light before.

So "no one" plays them now.

Faster queues for me. Posted Image

according to these forums? Light Queue should have been 0% within 15 minutes after patch.

Don't blame me for taking their hysteria at face value?

One thing for sure as an assault mech (KDK-3) pilot, I'm registering decent number of various light mechs kills now except locust.

I'm finding it easier to kill Jenner's... and harder to kill hit or do any meaningful damage to Locusts LOL. Not sure that have seen many other lights...

Right now it's at ~10%, mediums and assaults at ~20% and heavies at ~40%. Whenever it drops below 10%, I think MM just opens the release valves and starts putting together matches with 0-2 light mechs per team. Then again, it's probably a lot more complicated than that, on account of different tiers and different servers.

I'm seeing a lot more Locusts and Ravens than before, and the ACH wasn't impacted by the nerfs at all. Me personally, for example, I have all the variants available for Locusts, Ravens, Firestarters and Wolfhounds. The rescaling has resulted in me playing Ravens and Locusts more than before, and stripping my Firestarters and Wolfhounds of modules as I won't be touching them for a while.

I tested my Spiders, still killed potatoes, tested my Wolfhound, still killed Potatoes, tested my Jenners, still killed Potatoes, tested my Adders, still killed Potatoes...

Played in my Locust PB, accidentally scouted using my face and got insta-gibbed by an Awesome of all things.

Others than Jenner's perhaps needing a HitBox rework(as with their New Scale)
the other lights seem ok, perhaps some slight Structure Adjustments here and there(+2 in some areas)
but all in all, it seems that they are still Agile enough to work well,

It's the locustpocalypse. Well, no, but you can see more of them than usual. And other extinct mechs like vindicators or quickdraws that got a size reduction.

It's alright. ACH is still just as strong as ever, since it was unchanged.

Idk, I've been running some rescaled lights tonight. (mostly kitfox) My match scores have been for the most part over 150, with my best being 298. Even in the matches where my team lost, I was for the most part able to do well enough to avoid losing Pilot Standing. I'm guessing the haters are butthurt because the rescaling means they may have to change their strategy, assuming they even piloted light mechs before the patch.

This patch gave some significant incentive for Locust pilots to come out of hiding.

And, as someone noted above, the Artic Cheater is still the same.

Uller got a little harder to hit, which is nice.

Commando got a slight ninja buff by not growing, too.

It's mostly the 35-tonners and the Spider that got hit with the nerf-bat, and since most of the 35 tonners already played like really really fast mediums... I think they'll survive.

I thought you were serious for a minute there. I am seeing 12-15% Lights and 12-15% Assaults. Seeing as how Lights are now dead and Assaults are so OP because of KDK-3 that seems a little strange to me.

I am still seeing a lot of Ravens, Locust, Arctic Cheetah plus a few Adders, Jenners, Kit Fox, Wolfhounds and Firestarters. Maybe it is different up there in Tier 0 land?

The dedicated light pilots switched to a mech that wasn't hurt (lolcust anyone?) or are seeing if they can make the enlarged mechs work. Just throwing out a couple options here, I haven't played yet since the rescale, so I can't do anything but speculate at this point.

I also think there are a lot of diehard light pilots that simply won't pilot anything else on a regular basis. The rescale hurts them, but they will continue anyway (albeit with much salt).
