Comparatively , none of the PHX are anything but an interesting toy compared to other more viable tier 1, 2 and even 3 mechs. I was only thinking it was cool to have a medium that could actually rival Locust/Commando speeds.

If this game were not 100% a competition, we would not be seeking to optimize every single one to be the next OP ride and maybe just enjoy playing, a little.

Losing because your mech is garbage not enjoyable.

You don't seem to get it. This mech isn't just bad. It's worse then bad. It's far worse than abysmal. It's a literal piece of junk that happens to run 169 kph.

No one wants the mech to be OP, but this mech isn't even passable. Don't try to justify it by saying "You just want to it to be OP" or "Why can't you just have fun with it?".

I have over 100 mechs now, and I play them all wildly different ways, with many different builds. I have go to mechs that can churn out 600-1000 damage games regularly. I've got more difficult enjoyable that provide a challenge but still can do well if played to their strengths. I have mechs I do great with in EVERY weight class.

This mech sucks, plane and simple. There's no beating around the bush or wavering about "oh but it can do this or that". The mech is GARBAGE and it needs to be made known that its garbage so someone will fix it and it can become at least viable.

Down to the thing I see here most often, and you are right, winning is a primary element of fun for this game. I do not disagree with you completely here. But there are a lot of mechs that fit the garbage label, that you have stamped on this one. I am not as highly tiered as you, but I do OK depending on the ride. I have had a few good games in this mech but not many.

I have found some mechs that did not play very well until I got them mastered, I was hoping that this one may do better once I got it up some. Some mechs do well right out of the gate. This one right now is in need of some mother love, cause it is getting kicked around the playground, by almost everything.

I ran the PXH-1(S) w/ 3 med lasers, AC/10 w/ 3 tons of ammo, 2 JJ, and I think an XL280.

I put modules on for AC/10 range/cd. Top speed was 100kph without speed tweak.

It is dreadfully mediocre and needs some arm quirks badly at the very least.

I think of piloting it as self inflicted hard mode. They remind me of how amazing the vindicators I sold were.

I've been having some luck with an XL295, 2LPL, 1ML, 2MG, 1JJ, MASC. I use the MASC to sprint behind bigger things and tear their back apart. As well as dash between cover. It has an agility level that is unmatched save for a locust. The MASC helps retain speed as well when using the JJ. When your throttle is maxed and you make a landing you accelerate to 140 instantly. That's crazy. I've been able to run down cheetahs that can't match that kind of acceleration.

It is very hard to pilot, but it is very deadly if used well. I've been able to support on the second line and dash out behind enemy Kodiaks, stalkers, atlas and the like and backstab them. Once their back is open and orange/red they panic, spin and get pulled apart by my team. That's if I don't outright kill them.

The only other mech comparable to this kind of agility and bite is the locust 1E with 6ML. But that can't poke from the second like and if something lands a solid hit it's paste.

The other direction is the Centurion. It has more bite and can tank, but unless I'm facing a stalker I have to chew through front armor and need support from other mechs if I'm facing heavies and assaults. With the 3S I can get behind and stay behind lone Atlas or kodiak and just rock back and forth with the MASC. If we both have good ping I'll never leave it's back arc. Sure some light mechs are capable of that feat, namely a locust. But those are lights. They don't have the armor, accel/deccel, and armor of a PXH.

The arm mounted weapons is a double edged sword. It's easy to stay on target but each arm lost is painful. I've been too aggressive at times and stick'd myself early. I get too eager to latch onto somethings back.
