How Do You Scale The New Minimap?

The new minimap shows the entire map at once now...how can I scale it so it is showing just my local area instead of the entire map?
Is there even a control for this? It wasn't an issue on the previous version.

I personally don't care for the new mini map, but as a long time gamer I will adjust.

Sesmic is useless now.
No FoV indicators.
Tactical value is almost nothing because it is zoomed out so much.
No indicator of leg/torso direction anymore.

Judging from the comments in-game so far today, it is universally hated. Not one person is saying they like it.

Other than that, it will take a while to get used to the new mini map. Hope they give us the ability to click on the map to ping locations though. That would at least make it a bit more useful.

Yes, that is commonly referred to as the "B" key, which would pull up the full Battlemap, and could quickly be pulled up and taken back off-screen when assessing the whole battlefield.
The different icons for various mech classes is a solid idea, sure. But if I can make line of sight on something, I just want to know from the minimap if it's friendly or hostile. That's only really useful in a macro scale- the Battlemap.

But I'm with a lot of people, the zoomed out, zero orientation is a bit frustrating.
I saw on the FB group:
"Imagine if Google maps didn't turn to orient which way you were going."
I found myself damn near lost on a couple of maps last night, thinking I was oriented one way via the map, and I would run a completely different direction.
Perhaps if they introduced a Toggle option...
Classic mode, map rotation and Mech directional orientation
New Mode, the way it is now post patch.

Seismic has been extremely useful to me actually. Only Radar Deprivation is better IMO. LOTS of times it has alerted me to some obnoxious light trying to sneak behind me and backstab me. Or let me see a flank coming early enough to evade it. When it's not there, I miss it.
It's usefulness is dramatically lower when you cannot pinpoint where the enemy mech is. It is "worthless" in the sense that there is no point in carrying it with this current minimap. The space and weight and cost is better spent elsewhere.

Of course, that's why I got 20+ adv. seismics + radar derp sets.
But isn't something really wrong if these are the goto modules?
Why not a slight nerf to smth clearly overpowered?
Well the hyberbole is real and we're back to normal.
