Same reason all of the Thunderbolts have the massive Jump jet packs on the back, even though only a single variant actually has Jump jets.

Good old fashioned laziness.

Basically.

Or at least, they didn't think it was worth editing for a variant without JJs.

However, I like to think of it as...

If you manufacture multiple variants of the same chassis, and it is mostly intended as a jump capable chassis, you might leave that detail in for manufacturing reasons and just plug the jets with caps...which happen to look like jets lol.

It's BS logic, but if you really want to think of a reason, it sort of works if you don't think too hard about it (which you shouldn't because there are more important things to worry about).

Maybe it was a "Just in case" thought. Be it either PGI or Kurita Posted Image

Is it supposed to?

There aren't any timeline/tech-appropriate variants with Jump jets for the Warhammer, as far as i know.

I'd really have been more psyched if the 1K had had the JJ plyons removed, entirely, tbh.

Though it would be even better on the 1b variant, if they had sawn the right pylon off and slapped 2 E Hardpoints there instead of the upper shoulder....

I understand them keeping both pylons for the 1B, but as for the 1K, yeah why did they keep those pylons if there is no JJs? I guess the same reason they kept the nonfunctional jets :/

changing one variant's model means doubling the art departments work load on camo patterns and other cosmetics that get applied as skins... Its just not cost effective..
