Admittedly I'd walk away for good, as would a lot of the people still in FW I play with (and against). However at least that would be a commitment to some sort of action from PGI. Acknowledge they just do throwaway stuff and double down on QP being the most "depth" they can do.

not a big fan of repeating the 100% lore accurate map over and over

it need to be zoomed in two different factions each season or something

too much work for pgi?

Given the map is already fully fleshed out with periphery planets, clan homeworlds etc, there are actually quite a lot of opportunities.

- PGI's looking to get people to buy older mechs (unseen for example)?

Run a periphery uprising event. Set it just before the Amaris civil war.

- Clan players need some love, but you want to have clan v clan?

Focus on the hell's horses conflict against the ghost bears, nova cats v smoke jaguars, or the steel vipers vs jade falcon. Hell, run the refusal war between jade falcon and wolf if you want it to be a big conflict.

- Want some focus on IS factions with a lower population?

Marik civil war, operation guerro, war of 3039. Hell, advance the timeline and run fedcom civil war if you feel like allowing pilots - even within the same unit (if you want things to be really chaotic) to decalre for either Katrina or Victor.

Edit: Forgot the Ronin War - gotta give Rasalhague some love.

That's less than 5 minutes of spitballing ideas.

Not 1 front or you have no point to it.

Combine attack and defend queue. That needs to happen. Halves queue, eliminates pug/premade queue disparity.

Vote for allies like you do enemies. Share fronts with allies. So CJF allies with CSJ, both factions can drop in each others queues.

Have "objectives" for each faction that change weekly. Take X world by Y date. Lose no worlds to Z faction. Etc.

Loyalists have % bonuses on Cbills and LP they can sacrifice to hire mercs. Mercs can take regular contracts with no bonus or put in for a voted on being accepted for a bonus paying contract giving purpose to a sort of MRBC situation.

I could write a book on ideas for making FW find and engaging.

Pugging can be fun, with the right peeps on your team. If you get solo hero's and/or lots of 'support' players, dont expect it to be much fun.
