That's, at least what I've heard of, a distinct possibility.

Yeah and PGI is Canadian. And its not like theres any Canadian holiday going on this weekend. Not like some special day for Canadians... You know like some kind of holiday similar to the 4th of July but celebrating Canada...Like a Canada day or something...

Seriously, there will be the next event. You don't have to play every event that there is. You just don't play on that day and done.
What's up with you, because you have no time to play and win some consumable packs, no one should?
What kind of egoistic behaviour is that? Is this for real?

How selfish.
Lots of MWO players don't live in the States and would still like an event this weekend.
PGI - who are a Canadian company - take no account of our local holidays ... and nor should they.

Yet they observed Chinese New Year by putting a Japanese mech on sale.
Totally legit.
1. The mech belongs to a Capellan (read: Chinese), Kai Allard Liao and had Chinese name.
2. The original art for the mech had the rising sun camo--PGI is just being true to source.
Have a nice day.

I'd guess Wang is not a very popular japanese surname either.

Go look up Canada Day. Canada and the US have major holidays.
This isnt about me not playing, this is about trying to rejuvenate FP with an event when many of their players are likely to have plans. Last I checked US and Canada house most of the game pop. They would draw so many more people in with next weekend. It is a planning fail.

The irony is that I will be around. I can play the event. THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME.
I want their FP events to have lots of participation to keep PGI motivated to improve Faction Play. I want PGI to wait, because I like FP, and I want them to get positive feedback that players will play FP.

A bump in participation over a weekend, gained solely because they are giving away free stuff in return, is not what I would consider positive feedback. It's simply the expected outcome of any event.
