I'd like to see - whether it's possible to rely the whole industry development to the game :). Something like that ( sorry in advance for multiple mistakes - it's just a prototype )

Let me summarize the facts. I would skip the whole part of tabletop versions of Mechwarrior ( even though for me it's logical that maya already had to deal with mecs, and hence introduced head-cut (as pre-version of headshot ) to ensure that target is done ). So I only need to cover facts related to computerized version.

Obviously it all started by "Cathode ray tube amusement device" in 1947 . Ok, granted, they were too shy to introduce silouette of a mech, and replaced it by plane - but hey .. we know the truth, right ?
Than it was era of TX-0, and mice in the maze with tic-tac-toe, but finally
In 1961 Russel introduced missiles, stars and spacewar, but only
in 1969 spacetravel was brought to the world of computers
And sitll it took Tomohiro Nishikado all the time ill 1975 to introduce guns , give legs to fighters and start using dual-sticks for control.

What was missing after that ? Houses and code of honor, and while peope were working on that ( Bushido, etc. ) "wheelers" were trying to get back to the top, and in 1983 they created DIGGER ( the game where mechs are portrayed as stupid and greedy animals ) .

etc. etc. etc. :D

Ummmmm, seriously?

Thats part of the greatness of Battletech. They literally chronicle it back to our day. Look for the first edition House and Star League sourcebooks. Probably the most thoroughly written back story in any game stting.

I dont see any point in reinventing the wheel.

I think, if you don't want your post to be taken seriously and don't state that pretty obviously in it, people will simply assume you are a troll (seeking to waste the time of people who stop in to read your post). If you do want your post taken seriously, then it's hard to fault people being confused by what you are asking. You seem to be asking about the history of the video game industry as it pertains to Mechwarrior Online, while at the same time assuming it as part of the game universe -inside- the video games to explain how the Inner Sphere got to its current state.

This is the verbal equivilant of a snake eating itself, so people are going to naturally ask which end of the snake you want an answer for.
