My guess is that a lot of people couldn't b/c of reason beyond their own control (insane queue time, etc). I do wonder how many people waiting in defense queues didn't realize that unless someone attacks, or there are territories to reclaim, they will sit there forever, never even getting a dry drop.
If they were using this event as a gauge, i suspect there will be some changes coming down the pipe.
I would like to see:
LT changes
Tweak to scouting balance (and a bump in win bonuses!)
Open a new attack lane once a planet is maxed out... maybe from the #2 voted enemy faction...

No need to play until 3am tonight to get the rest of the damage. I can now stick to 2 hours a night for the rest of the week to finish out (presuming there are still players in the queue).

For those that moan and whine about the event, at least give the scouting a shot, its fun and a better gauge of your individual skill.(epically as pug.)

The loadout i see on the IS side in scouting is insane. They can work in Invasions as part of a bigger group but in scouting they are pointless.

PGI, you had better not extended the event for 5 (FIVE) more days. You would have saved face. Now you only ridicule yourselves by showing how bad estimation you made regarding the time required for such an event. Get a grip on reality, please.

This event has highlighted some weaknesses of CW
-Planetary access for some factions
-long queue times
-Player Psychology, Desperate IS players looking for Non-LongTom planets clog the defense lane as Clan players get discouraged from the erasure of any gains they make. It doesn't matter how hard every clan but Jade fights when an avalanche of victory hungry IS factions swarm to Wolf, Bear, or Jaguar because they queued up a 12 man. Jade has the numbers to fight and the Rep to deter.
-The Eternal count up of a completely blue defense world. A pug buzzer would be nice as at least people would know their are players there.
I personally love scouting. I get to show my skills as a pilot and Good IS vs Good Clan team is largely decided in the positions of the mechs, use of cover, and denial of full enemy team fire support. Doesn't matter how high the Alpha is on a mech if half of it splats on a rock, tree, or building.
Bring your AMS, and let your damage sponge std engine med mech lead the charge and learn to twist so they chew you into nothing but legs, a CT, and a cockpit. Your team will appreciate those precious seconds.

THX for the additional 1 mio credits, the additional 5 mio cbills and some premium time, but after 4 evenings FW I have enough of that broken game mode for weeks!

We had a Match yesterday against Falcon, where the LT was active, we managed to adjust and spread out to minimize the impact. Then it suddenly becomes deactivated, we immediatly gain the upper hand on kills. We plow right into the enemy, waste our second wave mechs, regroup the third, push in and while we are about to engage, long tom is active again and strikes 5 seconds later, wiping out 7 fresh mechs, no chance to scatter because it "insta-dropped"
Here you are thinking you can win this one because first and second wave played the LT-Roulette safe and only lost one Mech every two minutes. Third wave LT-Free.... SURPRISE MOFOS!
It is ridiculous.
