An observation of the course of attempting this weekend's event has been the lack of interest in Invasions. Inbeforedropasgroup: You still need enemies to fight and are left waiting. My wait time for a round has been, in one instance as low as 5 minutes, but frequently in the 20 minutes neighborhood. Assuming only an average of a 10 minute wait, and assuming I won every invasion, to get 20 matches done I'd still be waiting in queue 3 1/3 hour.. add on top of that how long a match takes and how likely it is to be a loss, and there's a huge time commitment in this, which isn't unreasonable for the rewards, but the wait times are and the returns are.
Suggestions to improve invasion turn-out:
1. Increase the loss benefits. If a match takes 10-20 minutes to get in to, then another 15-20 to complete, only to pay out 200,000 - 300,000 for a loss, how is that worth it? I could lose two or three Quickplay matches a hell of a lot faster and get comperable payout, and I'd get in to them much faster (Congrats on getting the Quickplay wait time down, by the way).
2. Remove the long tom, or nerf it somehow. I got fragged four times in a row having gotten less than 500m from the drop ship, which is a story I've heard repeated numerous times on the chats and has resulted in a huge phobia against participating in any invasions involving one.
3. Improve the benefits for waiting in those queues somehow to improve interest. Maybe some kind of 'retainer' payment that kicks off every 5 minutes, 10-20,000 C-bills and some faction points just to make it not feel like a total waste of time.
That's what I've got for now... I appreciate your taking the time to read it. Love the game, really, just these finer points needing hashed out. You might also remove the separate Scout/Invasion requirements, since a person that has completed one side will be less likely to go back to it, which will decrease the probability of a scout force working to take down a long tom and thus encourage invaders to bother with the plant.

I really like this idea. I'd say 5,000 C-Bills and 5FXP per minute sounds about right. That equates to 50,000 CBills and 50FXP for a 10min wait which is far below what you'd earn in match time but still worth while.

That is an excellent metric to incentivize the faction warfare.
