My best desktop has the Intel Q6600 and a ATI 4890

Currently in MechWarrior: Living Legends which runs on Crysis Wars, is CPU Bottle Necked with my GPU. If I run in Medium Settings I barely get above 30fps, but it does dip down to low 20s.

How does MWO and Crysis 2 do in performance vs Crysis Wars? I know it has better Multicore support but will I be looking at the same 30FPS bottle neck? Now I Know my CPU will be bottle necked since its older, but would it be better or worse?

you will from what they keep saying be looking at probably a 10 fps bottle neck, from ive been told even my rig, which runs Cryengine 2 perfectly at a cool 60fps with no overclocking will apparently be hit with huge lag by this game, though I dont really know if this is true or not.

10FPS? Holy cow that's not enough lol,

Looking at the Requirement specs,

The Minimum Intel Core2 Duo E6750 receives a Passmark score of 1675

The Q6600 receives a score of 2972

You can also OC the Q6600 a bit to squeeze a bit more out of it. Surely We will be seeing more than 10FPS as its quite a bit better than the Minimum.

^ Not sure what you asked, the 4890 can play Crysis Wars on High, that's what it defaults too but my CPU apparently cannot keep up so I brought it down to Medium.

Also its way above the 8800gt minimum for MWO

I had an Nvidia 8800gts 320mb http://3dmark.com/3dmv/4190267

And now the new GPU which is a ATI 4890 1GB http://3dmark.com/3dmv/4190309

you'll be able to play just fine on a q6600/hd4890 combo. Your above the recommended specs with both of those.

Still waiting for a game that will support my six-core processor..

I only have a ATI 5750.. but it's a pretty decent card to be honest.. can play Skyrim on very high settings.. I was worried Skyrim would have to be on low settings.. but it's a really good card and CPU combo.

If you like it cool -- here is mine :)

9450 quad core with a pair of gtx-260-oc, 4 gig watercooled ram, striped 550-gig drives, small but fast. Integrated in to the desk itself.
