What I'm seeing:

Clans get long tom on a planet--->all clan pugs queue for attack on said planet and no where else--->IS have no other planet(s) to defend and have to queue on said planet--->IS loses.

Why have a "feature" that discourages players from playing FP? Yes, I know to counter LT, you scout on said planet to get rid of it. BUT this event also has an Invasion wins requirement. Seriously, this is the hardest requirement to fulfill when LTs are available and the amount of planets available to defend on are limited.

This is even more of a problem for any Liao, Marik and Davion faction as they can't initiate attacks against clans.

My LT fix? Get rid of it. Instead, just have the T3 scouting upgrade be a reduced cooldown on airstrikes/artillery.

Long Tom is making this event really difficult to complete as well as really frustrating.
