I New This Event Was A Bad Idea..

when in one game the guy who took command was in all trial mechs and didnt know what a uav was. and another who was giving orders didnt know what mode we were playing. these r just 2 of the minor ones

feel free to post ur event nightmares here and why they should never do events with cw again.

I like FP events.

I play Invasion almost everyday. I am very happy to receive free things for doing what I was already going to do.

..but this event was to test some aspects of FP and get feedback on them.. and Russ thinks the die-hards that play FP all the time live on an island.. so, he flooded our island with green zombies because, apparently, zombie opinions matter more than those of islanders.

i completed the event yesterday morning and quit playing for the durreation. il come back when they release the archer for cbills.

I knew it was a bad idea because PGI still hasn't made CW / FP remotely entertaining.

Have fun rushing those O-gens.

I missed this event

just got my PC up and running again but I don't have any desire to drop into FW/CW

maybe is the extremely low pay-out or maybe I haven't had enough fun with my KDK's

CW/FW can be a meat grinder maybe that's it not sure

Biggest issue so far is there is no 'game mode' tutorials yet. Both for QP and FP, I think that needs to be the next thing done, using the training academy but launched separately (a different check box)

What are O-gens? I thought the purpose was to be the first to get to 48.

I mean, the Long Tom is @ Omega right?

So let me get this straight, teams/units/PGI want us to play FP. But rap3, or let, the hell out of the spawns? I played 3 games 2 of them were spawn rap3. Well no thanks, lesson learned. Mechs are dead before they hit the ground out of drop ships. Whats the point of that? Nice game building Russ. So when FP is dead except for the hard core KDR people, where will it be?

I still don't understand why they don't just give the dropships a bunch of damage to keep people out of spawn... The spawns are now out of the way and don't fire on people near the gens anymore, so it would make sense.

it's the 30 to 60 minutes you have to wait BEFORE a drop happens. The game mode isnt more fun than quickplay or more engaging but its the waiting times that kills it. And how some players obviously have not installed the game UI and the game Sounds so these poor souls have to wander forever lost and alone.

True that, especially with LT blasting the crap out of you every time


I just finished the Scouting one, that one you can carry, bought an AC20 Enforcer and plwed my way trough it easy, Invasion is way too much work to be worth it, against near insurmountable odds if you get unlucky to be blasted by artillery

Yeah, earlier today I dropped in a 9-man. We had 3 green pugs who just kept running in alone and dying. We kept trying to tell them what (not) to do, but it was hopeless.

Lots of people are having rough experiences because of the unified queue. Dropping solo is a real roll of the die. You could get lucky and drop with a good team, or you might drop with skittles against a good team. You can't blame teams or friends for wanting to drop as a group, but sometimes it's really unfair. All the frustrations of QP matchmaker get magnified tenfold when you have to drop four successive times while getting rolled each time.

The least PGI could do was keep the trial mechs off of FW mode.... but that would empty the FW mode (man i haven't played a FW for months... i'm almost forgetting how bad it was)

They could instead give the new players 8 mech bays to start with
Its not 2012 with MWO only having 7 chassis anymore!... 4 mech bays was ok... in 2012.
That way, new players are not going through faction torture for the precious mechbays, ruining gameplay for both themselves and FW die hards!


PGI.... UNDERSTAND THIS!
Here is how:
Have one of your employees (preferably the balancing overlord guy) make a new account without pumping it to the max with cbills and MC and have him play FW and QP for a month and then ask them for feedback!

Nav, you are a very optimistic guy if you think pgi employees play thier own game..... (cutiies Tina and Laura aside, with strange results.... but they are cuuutiiiies anyway...)
