I went out and purchased a LCT to try it. I think it needs a SLIGHT nerf (not too much). It can solo heavies, assaults, and slower mids pretty regularly as long as you have cover to dodge in and out of. I feel it shouldn't be able to solo meds, but should be effective vs assaults and slow heavies.

Remove acceleration/deceleration bull. Just because it is a under armored light mech, does not mean it should have a experimental super hyper drive that moves like a gundam.

lol this might help a little.

Structure quirk removal would make a bunch of people angry, but might not be a bad idea overall. IDK though, it already seems a little too binary as to whether you're dead or unhit.

I've been playing this game on and off over the period of a Year roughly and the Mech Chassis I choose to Master were the Locusts. I have only played today since the size re-scale but I haven't really noticed anything different with the Locusts, I find they are just as tough as I remember them but then I have only played 3 games in them today.

I think removing the structure quirks would just kill off more Light players. A nerf to the acceleration/deceleration quirk might help but removing would it would dis-advantage the Locust more as its speed is its armour, and with pulse lasers/SRM's being the more common builds (I find at least) which benefit from its acceleration/deceleration quriks in hit and run attacks, removing those quirks would withdraw the Locust into a long range sniping Mech such as the LCT-1V with a ERLL or LL or the Missile variant Locusts with LRM's (which btw is quite fun, I use the LCT-1M as my LRM Scout with 2xLRM 5 + 2xSML and 540 LRM's).

Just my 2 C-Bills from a Locust only player at the moment.

And if you paint it red it goes even faster, as any ork worth his mushrooms knows.
