Should PGI just automatically come up with something else and no more mechs? should they accommodate the 10-20% population's opinion, and scrap the rest of the ideals because you already did most of everything?

No one is saying they have to scrap mech packs. They shoud not just be the only income. We shall see if these lockboxes are worth it. But they should have things like 1 or 3 day premium time availabefor purcahse, or "weekend" packs with 3 days of premiume time and some MC and or Mech Bays. Camo prices need to change, they are far to expsive to unlock, I have never bought in game cammo because the value is crap. So many other ideas, but as I said this is all stuff people have mentioned over the years.

Yes, there is. There are previous games that explicitly did content just like that (Age of Empires Online), where the main content was effectively similar in what is being sold here.

When you have Founders literally saying that we're playing the same game "more or less" than what we did in Beta, it's not just a random statement. Sure there are more maps, mechs, and "gamemodes" (including metas) since then, but we're coming back to the same thing - what is there to really do in this game beyond killing mechs?

In CW/FW Phase 2, Clan Wolf Mercstar won every space around Terra. Great, what next? Uh? I don't think the IS cared as much as the victors. What was the point of all this fighting again?

I mean, sure, the money can continue rolling in (I don't have the #s, so I can't pretend to know), but there's a certain point where eventually it's not going to "just work". You don't need a public outcry like the Minimap disaster to see how fragile things can be. If you truly think this is sustainable like the alternatives that at least attempt to show they are trying AND not resting on their laurel... then I don't know what to tell you.

If you think trying to convince other people to come play this game is easy... you must be the greatest marketer ever. I can easily see why other games are popular (with their warts and all), but trying to sell FW to the masses... with a FW promo that is not even remotely accurate to what we actually deal with?

I dunno... the people will decide. Not you, not me... it's everyone that decides to actually play this game and in the end, PGI is still ultimately responsible for what went right... just as much as what went wrong.

So...that's clearly a Linebacker, if one that is downright offensively tall. The stance on that thing had better come down hard if they're releasing the Linebacker. I know it can't be as low as the waistless original, but dayum, bro...

Anyways. Scavenger-hunty treasure search is kinna a cool idea, though I imagine it'll get old fast if they start reusing it. That said, time to start theorycrafting Linebacker builds (again). Will have to see if the Hero they come up with adds anything worthwhile to the machine. As I recall, it has workable Laserspam and SRM cruiser builds and not much else going for it. Hmm...

You do realize its multiple mechs due to the multiple sillouetts and the middle one doesn't match any of the pieces you have found?

It does match the other pieces. It's just flipped upside down (and cropped to fit the banner)

I haven't managed to sit through that whole video yet because it's so wrong on so many levels. Every time I try, I have to re-watch This is MWO-Drop 2 to feel better.
