What do you guys think? At this point all new light units are welcome. Any Wasp or Stinger units would be cool. Getting a bit burnt on all the heavy's and assaults. Please for the love of god add a new light. Will preorder today.

2) They made 2 prototypes of the super wasp, 1 overheated and got shot down, the other took a LL to the SRM ammo and blew the **** up.
3) No one really reads this section and you should get it moved to general discussion.

Fun guy, that name says it all I guess.
1) Might explain your fun nature.
2) Yep they did, and if your would have read the book you would know one prototype did have a problem but they did well in a first outing and where a bit outclassed.
3) Its more about the need for more lights in the game not really a specific mech. General discussions may be a good place but since light pilots read this sub forum it makes a bit of sense to post here. Have a nice night.

Probably see the Thorn, Jackel or Valkyrie before a Super Wasp.
I would like to see a Spector myself but it has a much later intro date and a ECM capable 35 ton light with JJ may kill the Panther.

But I got in for the Jackrabbit before you get Super Wasps!

Though it'd be different tonnage compared to the others, not sure if that should be a problem. That said, if they ever do the Flea, I've love if they included the 15-tonner variant. For those looking for a super-hardcore mode.

Have the locusts and Cheetah pulling most of the games now. Have the Jenners, Wolf Hound and Ravens. Have had in the past or have tried the other units and itching for something new.
The Super Wasp was in one of the first Battletech publications and I always thought it was cool. That being said...the Specter would rock and it's current (MWO) tech with all the goodies.

Usually people take 30- and 35-tonners such as Hankyus, Firestarters, Wolfhounds, Jenners or Jenners IIC.
25-tonners such as Commando or Koshi are rare because they are fragile and can't carry too many weapons. Super Wasp would be something like Commando, albeit with Jump Jets.
Perhaps the only 25-tonner worth including would be Raptor OmniMech.

The majority of Spector models was equipped with tech not available in MWO, such as Chameleon LPS or Stealth Armor.

Dunno. Hellion maybe? Or Peregrine perhaps. Venom would have the advantage that PGI could reuse some parts from Spider.

You may be right on the effectiveness of 25 ton mechs especially on the IS side. I have similar thinking here. That's why I didn't suggest the even smaller 20 ton Wasp that I really like in old school Battletech. I do think something workable at 25 tons can be done though. I actually built out the Super Wasp in a Battlemech builder to see if it would be viable in the current game. It would be, 2 ML with SRM2 or 4 SL, ECM, XL175/XL200 for speed, JJs and good armor for a 25 ton unit. Lightly armed but I could have a blast in it.
On the Spector. It was reintroduced in the 3058 Technical Readout. It uses nothing we don't currently have access to. The SLDF models have the Chameleon Light Polarization Shield and other stealth features we don't have access to that that is true of many of the SLDF variants of mechs that used to be made.
Clan Mechs from the same era that would be awesome are there as well. Piranhas at 20 tons could be a blast. Commando IIC would be deadly at 25 tons. The Vixen is very nice at 30 tons and a sweet looking unit.

Now I would LOVE the Specter or the Vixen/Incubus. Both would be awesome.
Looked the Piranha up as I had totally forgot about that one. That could be amazing.

I'm also a fan of the Vixen/Incubus, it would make for a solid Clan Light and we are in the right place time wise to see it.

Unless it's a Firemoth.

The Cougar also been popular in past games though it mirrors the Adder in many ways.

That said, I wouldn'd mind seeing things like the Flea, Howler, Mercury, Piranha, Snowfox, [anything else that is effectively in the 20t range so I can assume it will be size like a small and not taller than half of the mediums]...
