PGI, are you intentionally trying to chase players away?
I have yardwork that I'm avoiding that would be more fun than this.

I should add this if no one knows it. There is a timer on the Long Tom on the right of your HUD.
When it comes close, right before the guy makes his speech, POWER DOWN (if not in combat) . The satellite does not see you and Long Tom will hit somewhere else or...not at all in several cases.

1) Use it against the enemy by a combination of seeming to run around like clueless skittles and balls deep rushing before it hits
and/or
2) Cry till they nerf it again.
My usual way of dealing with LT is just not dropping where it is... but during this event thingy I've had to more than once, but still come out of plenty of those matches with either 1k dmg and a few kills and/or a smug feeling that I made CJF eat their own arties.
