Pretty please can we have one. It already looks good and has a variety of weapon types. I can only imagine how good it would look remade.

That is all

This MIGHT give an inkling about my opinion on this subject......

I want this guy AND the Annihilator to make an appearance, even though I know the Annihilator is rather rare.

I think it would be a good call and also posted about adding the Devastator before seeing this post. some of the less well known assaults are some of the most flexible lets all put up ideas that fit within the start point requirements but out of the main stream mech list

I'd love to see the Daboku come into the game first then a few patches later introduce the Mauler.

There's not much difference in them, yes but it adds a few more bits of interest such as a feeling of timeline progression and mech development, a simple change for the Devs to remodel from the Daboku up to the Mauler and shares the problem of "Is that a Daboku or a Mauler? What is it carrying? I'd rather know what very large assault mech is coming towards me before I run away or engage." which I personally enjoyed in something like MW:LL.

The only problem with that first mauler image is the Kuritan logo on the side. :P

Other than that, would love to see the Mauler in game. It has a well spread loadout and looks amazing.

Well, I can't help it.. they DID build it after all. (which means I should probably hire a good Tech to redo the wiring.... shoddy Kurita worksmanship.....), and haven't had time to repaint it with a proper Mailed Fist and Wrecking Ball.

I would also LOVE to see this confirmed for play. One of my favorite assault mechs in the whole BT Universe.

It's a good chassis to base mods from, with such a wide range of hardpoints. And I always liked the look more than I liked the standard weapon config. So yeah, I'd love to see the Mauler in MW-O. Whether I'd drive it is another question.

I like the original design, though the maps we've seen so far in MW:O look like they are not support direct long range support very well, the Mauler has a nice selection of weaponry that would translate into a nice selection of hardpoints in the MW:O mechlab. I'd also like the idea of the Dabuko serving as the 'prime variant' of this mech in the MW:O techtree and from there developing to the Mauler.

Except that the Daboku became extinct a decade before the game begins. After the War of 3039 they were all either scrapped or gutted & turned into Maulers. Even the Lyrans didn't keep the ones they captured.

Mauler is the Fed name for the Kurita Daboku. There are not 2 different mechs. The Kurita called it, Daboku. Somewhere i read that the Mauler had a bad repetation or faults, maybe that is why it was not kept in production by the Kurita. It would be a good mech to have in MWO. It is in my Mech wish list.

Here is my updated Mech list.
A lot of wishfull thinking in other's lists.
Really need to keep it: TRO3025, TRO3039, TRO3050(old and newer books).
You should not be picking Inner Sphere mechs that Are: Unseen / Quads / LAMS / Comstar / extinct Star League / Word of Blake / Clans / Wolf's Dragoon designs.

There are a lot of mechs out there to choose from still.

Whitworth
Wolfhound
Grasshopper
Hermes
Hermes II
Panther
Javelin
Assassin
Hachetman (with false hachet)
Clint
Vulcan
Blackjack
Vindicator
Enforcer
Trebuchet
Dervish
Quickdraw
Jagermech
Orion
Charger
Victor
Zeus
Stalker
Cyclops
Banshee
Hatamoto-Chi
Mauler / Daboku <==

When Virtual Worlds brought their Battletech Tesla pods to Gencon I kicked *** in the Mauler. It's one of my favorites because I also owned that toy.
